Alexander Park Improvements

The existing park located at 85 Reade Street is getting an upgrade in 2024!

New features:

• New seating and picnic areas to provide excellent vantage points to supervise the playground and other park activities.
• New asphalt walking paths across the park to better encourage year-round access and to connect Reade Street to Jones Street.
• A new pathway through the passive park area on the east side of the park with a grassed open space play area.
• A reconstructed multi-use sports court to provide opportunities for pickleball (4 courts), tennis (1 court), and ball hockey.
• A new ½ basketball court and a new all wheels area.
• Preservation of green space by planting more trees and installing a rain garden.
• Upgrades to the playground area to improve drainage as well as the addition of two new spinners and a spring toy.
