Intersection at Lewisville and Elmwood
Should revamp the intersection of Elmwood and Lewisville. People constantly drive straight through the right turn lane on Lewisville. Some clearly on purpose to bypass the line up and others are just not familiar. I have seen many close calls here. Would be nice to have a larger island or barrier to make the lane obvious and force people to be in the correct lane. This would also allow a non stop right turn from Elmwood to keep the flow of traffic continuous.

Finance research to develop a long-term urban planning plan.
Moncton, in its current state, is built around the principle of providing vehicular traffic efficiency rather than a vision of community. The fact that families live in the urban core appears to most outsiders as an afterthought. Moncton owes its constituents to better its transit structure by means of traffic calming devices, single direction re-routing, car sharing and transit dedicated lanes, physically divided bicycle lanes, pedestrians paths, etc.

Incentivize car pooling — give priority spaces in the downtown to vehicles with 3 or more passengers.

Code of Ethics displayed on the waterfront trail
There are a lot more people using the trail and there needs to be some sort of order to keep everyone safe. I would love to see a code of ethics along the trail to remind or inform people of things such as the importance of using your bell when you are out biking and passing people, staying on the right lane, keeping your volume down on your head set so to hear if anyone is approaching you, etc. It wouldn’t cost much and would make our outings much more pleasurable. It could be a great tri-community partnership.

Car sharing
Open discussion with car sharing providers (car2go, communauto/carshare atlantic, etc) to develop a shared mobility for the city of Moncton. As in other communities, vacant lots can be utilized as parking for these vehicles, incentives should also be provided in form of free parking in desirable areas. We should make efforts to utilize the principle that vehicles are a secondary necessity and can be minimalistically utilized with a proper urban design. Efforts to sensitize the population to these principles should furthermore be made.
