The City of Moncton is reviewing existing programs, services, and opportunities available to seniors in the community.

This review is aimed at ensuring seniors are receiving the support they need to lead fulfilling, active, and healthy lives.

The Senior Programming Review involves a comprehensive evaluation of current programs and provides an opportunity to engage residents. It also focuses on identifying gaps in services and opportunities for improvement, innovation, and greater inclusivity.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:

  1. Respond to the survey below. Paper copies of the survey and public access to computers are available at the Moncton Public Library (644 Main St.).
  2. Ask a question in the Questions tab below.
  3. Come chat with us at one of our in-person sessions:
    • Monday, Jan. 13, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. – YMCA Vaughan Harvey (30 War Veterans Ave.)
    • Wednesday, Jan. 15, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. – Crossman Community Centre-Kay Arena (99 Wynwood Dr.)
    • Friday, Jan. 17, 9 a.m.-11 a.m. – Café Codiac (666 St. George Blvd.)
    • Sunday, Jan. 19, 12 p.m.-2 p.m. – Moncton City Hall (655 Main St.)
    • Wednesday, Jan. 22, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. – Mapleton Lodge (610 Mapleton Rd.)

  • The City of Moncton is looking to hear from residents about recreational opportunities for seniors. Whether you are a senior yourself, a caregiver, or someone interested in supporting the well-being of older adults, your feedback is important. 

    Recreational opportunities are a vital part of staying active, connected, and healthy. This engagement aims to gather insights on what activities are most enjoyed, what barriers exist, and how access to age-friendly recreation can be improved within the City of Moncton.   

    The City of Moncton defines a senior as any resident aged 55 and over.
